Publicity for my Cambridge book
I wrote the text for the pages that face the illustrations (reprints of Edwardian paintings of Cambridge by W Matthison) in the Cambridge volume of the Memories of Times Past series. The book was published in 2007 by Worth Press. The publishers have created a web page about Memories of Times Past: Cambridge, with access to a few sample pages.
SfEP Advanced Member
I was awarded Advanced Membership of the SfEP on 7 July 2007. This means they think I have a ‘high degree of competence and substantial experience’.
I’m renovating this site
I used to maintain this site using Perl scripts that I wrote myself and that, I have to admit, were a bit awkward to use – with the result that in fact I didn’t get round to maintaining it very often, so the content had become woefully out of date. Besides, I was busy doing real work for paying customers.
I’m putting that right. I’ve redesigned the basic framework of the site – now it’s based on Dreamweaver templates so maintenance is much quicker – and I’ve taken down the old content. New versions of this material will appear in due course, either here or, if appropriate, as postings in my blog.
