I’m a m
iddle-aged Englishwoman and a long-standing resident of Cambridge, England. I live with my husband by the river in Chesterton, an ancient village that became part of Cambridge long ago. We don’t have children.
I’m a graduate of the University of Cambridge, where I studied maths and computer science. I’ve been involved in politics for a lot of my adult life as a Labour Party activist and as an electoral reform campaigner.
I like making drawings, photos and digital paintings. You can see some of my images on Flickr. I have professional skills in:
- software engineering (twenty years’ experience) specializing in software integration and configuration management;
- writing, editing, proofreading and typesetting text for publishers (nine years’ experience);
- political organization (one year’s experience).
